always wonderin'

There are times when I wonder what life is about. What really matters. What I want to do.

Then I realize that all of those things drive me crazy and make me feel bad about myself so I stop.

Tomorrow I want to go camp out in a coffee shop for a large chunk of time and write. About anything and everything. Then read this stinkin' book I started over a month ago one day, and haven't even touched it since.

(If I type it on here, it makes me more likely to do it than to sleep in or something, thus, you get to know what I want to do.)

Other than the future being undetermined, I love my life. Mainly for three(ish) reasons. Kind of. I just made that number up. But one reason is just glaringly obvious to me right now.

Another reason, let's say...reason number four, is that is it FINALLY NICE OUTSIDE. The only downside is that I had to get a new kind of deodorant a few weeks ago, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't work because I smell.

Overshare? Probably. But you are the one choosing to read my blog, and if you are my friend you know I am an oversharer. I just like to tell stories.

WHICH IS WHY I want to write a novel or two or five or have a blog for all of eternity.

Okay. Clearly, I need to go to bed. I had too much ice cream tonight.

[insert Clint's dairy joke here.]

WELL, HAVE A NAP, ZEN FIRE ZE MISSILES!

...right-o.

stand up and thank her

Complaining: If you offer to do my laundry, do not take a week and a half to do it. Or...to do half of it and leave the rest in the middle of our house. I will run out of underwear soon. AND I had my heart set on eating a bagel for lunch but they were COVERED IN MOLD. Sickoutnasty. I am allergic to mold. I almost DIED (not really, but it was grosstastic and sad).

Rejoicing: It is spring! I'm going to NYC in October! I love life!

Okay. Well...I guess that's it.

Except, remember that if you have those little censor things at the bottom of your garage to keep the door from smashing small children, that they are really sensitive and if you leave the house for two hours, your garage door will just be open. With no cars in the garage, and asking to be robbed.

But, I hope you live in a neighborhood of oldies, like me, so you actually don't get robbed. Because that's what happened to me today. Awesome.

It's that time of year when I need to paint my toe nails.

hit this city

It baffles me how many shoes I've collected. (I say collected in the accidental, not intnetional, way.)

For the first 2/3 of my life, I had to get all new shoes every year, so I never had very many. Since my feet finally stopped growing halfway through HS, it only makes sense that I would have a collection of shoes. But, really?! The fact I've had some of these shoes for about six years is insane to me. Like, my only good pair of black heels - senior year, 5.5 yrs old. Weird.

My computer finally decided to let me load CDs onto it again. THANK YOU. Finally have all of Lady Gaga on my computer. Holler!

You can tell it's getting nice outside because I spent well over half of my day in shorts and a bra. Not outside, don't worry. Although, it took me a few hours to realize our male roommate was actually here. Oops. But at least I don't have to look like an eskimo in our house anymore, right?!

I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SUMMER OH MY GOOOOOOSH.

I'm not even hungry right now, and I'm having a big dinner, but all I want right now is all kinds of different cheeses. I've been unable to stop eating for the last few days. Ick. I am an endless pit for food.

In other news, it's almost six at night and the mail STILL HASN'T COME. That should be against the rules. Especially because a lot of times it comes before noon.

try so hard not to notice

My biggest fan informed me it has been too long since I have posted a new entry. So, here you go, world.

The other day, I bought groceries for myself. The most expensive thing I purchased? Deodorant. Really? Yeah. Weird. The next most expensive? My favorite granola and my favorite juice. Geeze. After that, string cheese and bagels. The cheapest? My three bananas. Maybe being healthy is cheaper. And it'd be cheaper to be...sweaty and smelly?

Can I just say that I hate the fact is snowed this weekend? Alright. I hate the fact it snowed this weekend. There. I said it.

Speaking of...this has been the background on my computer for the last couple of months.

I find it fitting for the seasons and for my life right now.

Can this be us someday?

And, yes, both of these are from PostSecret. Obviously.

This morning I woke up STARVING. And you know what I hate? Waking up from good dreams. Because then all day all I want to do it go back to sleep and get back into that dream, but it never really works. I also hate remembering nightmares. Either way, I would rather not have any dreams. Even if the good ones are wonderful.

Dear Bluestem Bistro,
Do you deliver? Because I would love to have you deliver me a bowl or two of your Mac&Cheese...it IS Monday, you know...

I'm off to have a glass of chocolate milk. I love that stuff.

passed you by

Today was one of the only days of my life that I really thought about how nice it would be to be married.

The reason I thought this was because it was IMPOSSIBLE to open my V8 Fusion this morning. And GOSH it would be nice to have manly arms to open it for me. Instead, my fingers have a little redness and a few skin cells missing. Ouch.

This week is going to be awesome. Why? Oh, I'll tell you.

I have three shifts that are LONG (which = $$ and = love), I get to see Clint more than once in a week! (say WHAT), I get to see ALL MY NIECES, road trip to Oklahoma City (for like..two hours of time in the city), St. Patrick's Day/Derek's birthday, a concert in Lawrence, and a wedding! Phew. Busy, busy.

Question: who wants to be hired as my person who makes all my life decisions for me? I'm taking applications. The position needs to be filled as soon as humanly possible.

OKTHANKS.

P.S. This is why I love my job. This is what I wore last weekend for our 80's work out party. You know you're jealous.

Except, I did wear a sweater over it. So it was less skanky. But we didn't have time to take pictures with it on.

just a whisper

If you are a school looking to get a lot of students to come and learn within your fine institution, maybe you should try a little harder than copy + paste for your emails. It feels a little rude and that you don't really care and makes said student to NOT want to meet with anyone at your school. Even if your mascot is awesome.

Coldplay sang to me in the most beautiful way this morning. Much appreciated, guys; thank you.

Left over pizza for lunch of my FAVE pizza = good recovery for the morning.

Why can't things go my way?

And why do I have to always have dreams about all my teeth falling out?! Oh my gosh that is a terrible way to wake up, even if my teeth are still in tact, it is TRAUMATIZING.

This is what they say losing teeth dreams mean. I agree with...all of them.

Tooth loss dreams are symbolic of the deepest fears human beings have. Here is a guide to understanding the meaning of these dreams.

Fear of Death and Growing Old
Think about when teeth fall out in waking life -- when children become adults and when adults begin aging. Therefore, losing teeth in dreams may be symbolic of fears of growing old or fears of death, and may occur when one is ill, nearing a milestone birthday, or preoccupied with mortality for some reason, such as during the death or illness of a loved one.

Symbol of Powerlessness
In many dreams of teeth falling out, the dream starts with just one tooth falling out followed by the rest. Dreamers often try to stop the teeth from coming out but to no avail. These dreams may signify a waking life situation that one feels powerless to change or stop.

**I DID try to put my teeth back in my dream last night. It didn't work.

Tooth Loss Dreams as Fear of Change
Fear of change is one of the top fears many people have and this fear is reflected in dreams of losing teeth. Given that waking life tooth loss is associated with transition, dreams of tooth loss may symbolize fear of change -- especially involuntary change such as a job loss or a failed relationship. Lost teeth can be symbols of a loss in life representing the fear accompanying the change.

Poor Health and Financial Instability
Accidents and aging are two reasons teeth fall out. Improper nutritional is another. Teeth fall out when one’s health is not being properly looked after. In dream-speak, this may take the form of not being nourished spiritually, mentally, physically or emotionally. Since nourishment is taken in through the mouth, losing teeth may also indicate fear of financial loss – the inability to put food on the table or in one’s mouth.

Abandonment
When one is abandoned one is involuntarily left behind, powerless to stop or remedy the situation. Feelings of abandonment can be likened to the feelings one experiences in tooth loss dreams. Feelings of abandonment may feel similar to the feeling of the hole left in the mouth in tooth loss dreams.

Loose Lips Sink Ships
Dreams of tooth loss can have yet another meaning. They may be warnings that one is revealing too much information with the lost teeth standing in for the secrets one is revealing. Alternatively, dreams of lost teeth can symbolize lies or being lied to by another.

Aaaaanyway...I got to dress up for work yesterday and it made my life. Goes to show that I am a theatre nerd always and forever. Or I just need to have a date party every weekend.

say goodnight and go

Remember that time I spend well over two hours making different schedules for my hypothetical return to college?

HA.

In other news: I didn't pass out when I got my shot today. CELEBRATE!

Your homework? Decide whether I want to go back to school, find me a job, and send me snail mail.

Oh, and tell Facebook to stop advertising for BABIES. I AM NOT PREGNANT OR EVEN CLOSE TO BEING THAT WAY. Geeze louise.
