twenty three

i went to vegas and came home a winner.
$23.
total, if i had not been greedy, i would have brought home $50. but i gambled money i won away before i could cash out. cest la vie.

vegas. it's interesting to think that people stay there longer than a few days at a time. it is truly its own culture. i feel bad for those who make a living there and deal out cards day in and day out in uncomfortable fancy clothes (or bras and skirts, if you're a pcd girl). watching people drink away and gamble away their money...often times simultaneously.

smoke. alcohol. nudity. money. insanity. lights. timeless.

when you are in vegas, time is relative. you can never be quite sure if it is day or night unless you are outside. no one stops gambling, no one stops dancing, no one stops drinking. it's a constant state of escape. i am not surprised at how popular it is for a getaway destination.

i just want everyone there to know that their lives are worth something.

i'm purchasing tights, leotards, and dance shoes this weekend. i am beyond excited about this.

also, i have recently decided that i will be a writer for the rest of my life.

so, good luck with that, self.

mac and cheese wednesday. oh, how i love thee. i only get maybe 8-10 more of them.

gotta make 'em count.

Bah! Same to you, you sneaky woman!
When I read your description of Vegas, I thought back to Paris. Remember how sad it was walking around Montemarte in the daylight? Weird.
lurb you.
